MNS-1
Noise Source
The MNS-1 is a shaped noise source that can be used to
emulate 2 bands of digital carriers. While it does not have
the necessary attributes to generate a constellation, it does
mimic the loading of QAM carriers. The MNS-2 features
remotely controllable 6 MHz wide notch filters to allow
introducing a QAM carrier capable of generating a constellation
and enabling measurement of Modulation Error Ratio (MER) and
Bit Error Rate (BER). If a single agile QAM modulated signal
generator is used, it will economically allow MER and BER measurements at the selected notches.
